SCHOOLING AT FAIR OAK CROSS COUNTRY COURSE

Users do not need to come to the house to sign in as acceptance of our terms and conditions was done when you booked online, the terms are set out again at the bottom of this assessment.

In most cases in order to alleviate congestion the course use is limited to around 14 riders per two hour slots and where larger numbers are expected such as Pony Club and Riding Club rallies and camps then it is the requirement of the organisers to make sure that they give space to other users of the course.

Please note at this time the toilet facilities will not be available.

The Show-Jumps must not be used unless they have been booked, before use please make sure that any safety cups are correctly installed so they will operate in an emergency,  at the end of any session all the poles and cups must be put up and the poles left at 80 -90cm for the next person, under no circumstances are cups to left in the grass.

Where a booking was made online then Please put a copy of your booking in the windscreen of your lorry  so it can be clearly seen.

Please make sure your vehicle is locked whilst on the course and valuables/keys are not left exposed.

WHAT TO DO IN AN EMERGENCY

Following a nasty fall a few years ago requiring an air ambulance (the rider fully recovered), we think that it is important that we all learn from the experience.

  1. People schooling must be accompanied by at least one adult who should have a mobile phone on them in case of an emergency.
  2. If you need to call an ambulance dial 999 and explain what the problem is and state that you are at Fair Oak Cross Country Course Habyn Hill Rogate Near Midhurst. GU31 5HR. Our Grid Reference is SU813 226,

If the operator asks you for a reference using the app  WHAT3WORDS then the answer  for half way up our drive is  decisions.sharpened.assumed

  1. Call us on 01730 821508 or Piers on 07836 220385 or Elizabeth on 07747 618795 to alert us of the problem and the exact location. We cannot guarantee you that the phone will be manned but generally there is someone around.
  2. If there is a spare person they should go to the bottom of the drive to show the ambulance the way in and where the injured party is. This is particularly important if the injury has taken place in the back or bottom field.
  3. Try to stay calm and give clear instructions of the situation and your location it can save valuable time.
